Applications are invited for the position of Manager Cabin Services & Training within Air Vanuatu (Operations) Limited.  This position is based at Air Vanuatu, Bauerfield Airport, Port Vila

The Manager Cabin Services & Training reports to the Executive Manager Flight Operations and is responsible for the performance of the cabin operations, training and standards for all Cabin Crew and Pursers within Air Vanuatu.

Key responsibilities (Cabin Services & Training):

• Arranging cabin crew rosters;
• Plan cabin crew manning levels;
• All technical or operational matters relevant to cabin crew duties;
• Ensuring the documents and manuals particular to cabin crew are relevant, up to date and incorporated into cabin crew operations;
• Monitoring of operational standards, maintaining the relevant records;
• Liaising with Training & Standard manuals to improve recurrent and initial training of Cabin Crew;
• Planning and implementing CRM, Security, DG and other required training events for Cabin Crew,
• Arranging cabin crew training events and maintaining the relevant records;
• Monitoring crew currency and qualifications;
• Ensuring the documents and manuals particular to cabin crew are relevant, up to date and incorporated into cabin crew training;
• Monitoring of operational standards to formulate effective training plans;
• To improve recurrent and initial training of Cabin Crew;

Key Criteria & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a senior cabin crew/purser, with several years in similar supervisory roles.
• Strong leadership, team building, and people management skills to guide and motivate crews, handle conflict, and performance manage.
• Excellent verbal and written English, French and bislama language with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills for crew, passengers, stakeholders
• In depth knowledge of aviation safety, regulations, emergency procedures, and airline policies
• A degree (Business, Aviation, and Hospitality) and professional cabin crew certification/license are often required.
