Summary and Objective

The Second In Command (SIC) reports administratively to the Chief Pilot. The SIC reports to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight. The SIC assists the PIC in preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135.
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, & other international flight operations regulations
  • Strong organizational skills & advanced multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills are necessary to perform job at the expected level
  • Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email and web-based and/or mobile device applications
  • Must possess a passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to present a well-groomed appearance at all times adhering to company standards
  • ATP complete
  • FAA First Class Medical
  • At least 2,000 hours Total Time (Fixed Wing)
  • At least 250 hours of Multi-Engine Time
  • Valid Passport
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
  • Appropriate Type Rating
  • This position is classified as a Safety-Sensitive role under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • ATP Complete
  • At least 2500 hours of Total Time (Fixed Wing)
  • At least 500 hours of multi-engine time
  • Type rated in a Challenger or Regional Jet
